I'm a Martha's Vineyard girl. I'm from Boston and have been to MV almost yearly for the past 20 years. I think you would really enjoy it. You must experience the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival in Oaks Bluff the first week of August.

Carolyn!!!! Okay so now you have to DO the Hampton. What you did is when people switch trains in Grand Central Station and say they’ve been to NYC! Overnight is good so you can see the town and go to the beach. That French fry incident is par for the course unfortunately- I haven’t been there in 30 years but that vibe was sadly familiar.

Carolyn I understand your anxiety with traveling to places you’ve never been . I feel the same way due to racism. I don’t like going places where I feel uncomfortable. Yes Martha’s Vinyard is supposed to to be the black Hampton.,. Although everyone on the Ferry to go there is not of color. 🤭

I love the beach so I have been to the Hamptons twice. I am from CT so I frequent Martha’s Vineyard and Rhode Island beaches. You definitely need a beach house closet to the water. Some of the homes are absolutely stunning with great pools and outdoor kitchens. Look around and go for a few days. I think you’d love it. There’s shopping too!

I really enjoyed your vlog. I appreciate how you were transparent at the beginning of the video about feeling anxious around people you don't typically spend time with. I've noticed that deep people (including myself) tend to be a lot more empathetic. It was great to see siddyinthesity featured in your vlog; she has a great sense of style and she's awesome. I would love it if she had a UA-cam channel. There are very few people who genuinely have style in the oversaturated influencer industry, and you two are definitely one of them. can i tell you i did 4 days in Montauk it was amazing i did do an airbnb but i did go to gurney’s restaurant and spa it was so lovely i was one of the only POC but the beach & eatery surrounding was really good i went with American Express

Been to the Vineyard several times and been to the Hamptons several times. Prefer the Hamptons, but it has to be East Hampton or Sag Harbor.

I also suffer from anxiety with the unknown and crowds. I usually say words of encouragement like Nikki Giovanni "I am so hip even my errors are correct. Nikki Giovanni You looked absolutely beautiful ❤

Been to the Vineyard and the Hamptons and I prefer the Vineyard any day!

i like Newport RI. Great beaches, good shopping in town. it gets busy but I like it. I relax on Ocean Drive by the water. I also like Stonington Conn. Foxwood resort nearby and Stonington has beautiful places by the water and artsy communities and it is near mystic. The hamptons and the vineyard are very similar. If you like dealing with name droppers and whos who that is cool , but I don't care for that type of socializing. i like peace and good times enjoying nature and folks i enjoy being around
